DESCRIPTION:

A 4 hour course designed to train individuals who desire to be volunteer On-Site Assessors for the Accreditation Program OR to recertify those current assessors whose certification will soon expire.  Attendees must be from an Accredited Agency. There is no cost to attend this class.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS:

Chief Monty Stanley retired as Assistant Chief of Police from Carrollton Police Department after 35 years of law enforcement experience.  He also served as the Interim Chief of Police for Carrollton P. D. on two occasions. He was the Accreditation Manager for Carrollton during their CALEA accreditation and was a CALEA assessor and Team Leader. In 2005 he helped develop the original Texas Best Practices program standards and has managed the On-Site inspection process since 2006, conducting well over 200 on sites.  He currently serves as the Compliance Manager for TPCA’s Law Enforcement Best Practices Accreditation Program.

 

Chief Max Westbrook retired from the Austin, TX Police Department as a Lieutenant after 25 years of service. He was over the Accreditation Inspections Unit before supervising the Organized Crime Division and the South Bureau Detective Commander. He also served as Chief of the Texas State Comptroller's Office Criminal Investigations Unit. He currently serves as the Program Director for the TPCA's Law Enforcement Best Practices Accreditation Program.
