Greetings to all TPCA Members,
It’s time to be making plans to attend the 64th Annual Texas Police Chiefs Association Conference. This year’s event will be held on April 2-6, 2023, at the Fort Worth Convention Center located in Fort Worth, Texas. The theme of the conference this year is Perseverance, which is intended to remind us all that we must remain faithful to our calling and lead our organizations in the face of difficult times. We have an outstanding program lined up that should appeal to agencies of all sizes and jurisdiction types. This includes breakout training sessions on a variety of subjects with TCOLE credit available. We have also included a list of classes and activities for your spouse to ensure they feel included and appreciated. Our Accreditation Program continues to grow, and we will have specific training courses for your Accreditation Program Manager so make sure you bring them along.
One of the largest events during our conference is the vendor show. The number of participants continues to grow every year, and you get to look at a variety of new technology, programs, and equipment. They are very important to the success of our conference, so we want to make sure we spend time with them when they are available. Also, consider bringing along anyone responsible for your purchasing or interested in seeing some of the newest items in our profession. Passes to the vendor’s exhibit are also available on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, for Law Enforcement Agency employees with proper identification. (does not include lunch)
After a few years’ break, we will be holding a golf tournament in conjunction with the conference that will benefit the TPCA Foundation's Officer Death Benefit Fund. It is sponsored by Mark43 and will be held at Iron Horse Golf Course in North Richland Hills on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Cost is $100 per player or $350 for a team of four. This includes lunch at noon before the event and dinner at 7:00 pm immediately following play. The North Texas Police Chiefs Association will be coordinating this event, so be looking for more information soon.
Opening Ceremonies for the conference will begin Tuesday morning, April 4th, at 9:00 AM. Conference ends Thursday, April 6th, at noon.
